Todd does a fantastic job organizing the content in such a way that you flow from one topic to another. This creates a symbiotic learning experience between the current objective you are studying and the previous one. Use the book to guide you through simulations, or create the same simulations he describes and inject your own issues to fully understand the material presented. The chapters on switches, spanning tree, BPDU, and port security were very complete and personally helpful to me. Todd explained and demystified many questions I had about configuration, testing, and verification of router and switch configurations.
